Hugh MacLeod's widely praised blog, gapingvoid.com, was launched in 2003 when he was a young copywriter living in a YMCA.   He started doodling on the backs of business cards while sitting at a bar, his drawings eventually evolved into comics, which led to his wildly popular blog.   A former co-founder and creative director of an ad agency, MacLeod is one of the most widely known and respected bloggers on the internet and has become known for his pithy insight and humor.   In addition to blogging, he lectures internationally at ad agencies and corporations about marketing and creativity and runs workshops for individuals interested in pursuing careers as graphic designers or independent artists.
