Life of Pi

The English Country House, Girouard's best-selling study of the country residences of the English upper classes from the thirteenth century to the present, is a study of English architecture, domestic life and history, and social change. In addition to being a well-known architectural historian, Girouard is also an acclaimed writer, who provides insightful and descriptive commentary (in both words and gorgeous photographs) on this subject.
