The Martian

Six days ago, astronaut Mark Watney learned that he would be the first person to walk on Mars. Now, he's trying to figure out how to survive long enough to get his crew back home. After a dust storm nearly killed him and forced his crew to evacuate while thinking him dead, Mark found himself stranded and completely alone with no way to signal Earth that he's alive. Chances are, though, that he won't have time to starve: The damaged machinery, unforgiving environment, or plain-old human error are much more likely to kill him first. But Mark is running out of time fast—and he’s determined not to let any of those things stop him from getting back home alive.
