Foundation

Hari Seldon creates a scientific breakthrough called psychohistory to see into the future, and he realizes that thirty thousand years of barbarism and war are approaching. Seeking to preserve knowledge and save humanity from this dark age, he gathers the best minds in the Galactic Empire and brings them to a bleak planet at the edge of the galaxy. He calls this sanctuary the Foundation, but soon it faces the threat of corrupt warlords rising in the Galactic Empire's wake.
