Lee now resides in the house of a black clergyman in Queens, according to an antique dealer. Five strangers are forced together and are subjected to harsh judgment—and some of them respond with grace. A discussion overheard in a stable provides inspiration to an American president, as well as fodder for anecdotes told by members of The Five-Carat Soul Bottom Bone Band.
