The Overstory

I’ve always been obsessed with the natural world. The interplay between ecosystems, different species, and just life itself carries an immense depth that I want to know even more about. I enjoyed Richard Powers’ book The Overstory. It is a different kind of book because it is all about trees. Those sleeping giants that can be found everywhere in the world. I love how he traced through each of the characters’ journeys —what brought them together and what they learned through their relationships with trees, and more specifically, the natural world.
