In his book, Predicting the Presidency, George Edwards challenges conventional wisdom about presidential leadership and shows how we can uncover a president's ability to bring about the change he promised. Edwards shows us how to ask a few fundamental questions about the context in which a presidency takes place―the strategic situation facing a new president―and use the answers to predict whether the newly elected leader will be able to gather support for his initiatives.
