Nothing to Lose

Reacher arrives in the relatively calm town of Hope, Colorado, and is immediately attacked by a deputy. Reacher takes care of the deputy, saves a town resident's life, and plans his next move. He soon discovers that the citizens of Hope fear something very bad is going on in nearby Despair. Reacher investigates and finds an enormous walled-off industrial area housing a mysterious plane that takes off every night. This was definitely not what Reacher had in mind for relaxing after quitting the Army.
