Jane Eyre

A very poor but brave young woman, who seems plain on the outside and has the spirit of a lioness in the inside; she contends with the demands of a heartless warden, an evil employer, and a rigid social order. All of these factors, along with her deep love for Mr. Rochester, play a significant role in shaping her life as governess to Mr. Rochester's daughter. However, this epic love story takes place against an enormous background: The thundering Yorkshire Moors! Nevertheless, this magnificent tale is loaded with sympathy and understanding.
