Hannah Versus the Tree

Hannah, a fiercely intelligent young woman who belies her privileged family origins and is raised to question who has been damaged by business deals meant to protect and maintain the dynasty. When she opposes a family scheme and her response is an act of vengeance of astounding violence, Hannah's battle cry is as haunting as Shelly Jackson or Thomas Bernhard, as enthralling as Nabokov or Joyce, and as radical a departure from contemporary storytelling as The Tree of Life was from prior films.
