Evenings and Avenues

Dischell's latest book of poetry, Evenings & Avenues, tells a story of the waning twentieth century. The seven Evening poems that punctuate the book are set in locations as diverse as Boston, Sarajevo, and London, in wax-works, shops, bedrooms, and, most commonly, a street, an avenue, or a boulevard. Dischell's poetry is impassioned, darkly funny at times, devastating at others. They breathe life into a universe that oscillates between potential and fate.
