Takeaways
Description
When Jason Dessen comes home to his Chicago house on a chilly night, his wife, Daniela, and son, Charlie—and the quiet evening he has in mind—are nowhere to be found. That’s because a man wearing a mask has just kidnapped him at gunpoint. Jason doesn’t understand what this is about, but he knows it can’t be good. With a growing sense of dread, he realizes that not only is there a stranger in his house who wants him gone, but that he’s been injected with some drug that’s making him lose consciousness. He next wakes up strapped to a gurney in a lab—and when Jason learns from the man in the lab coat that he will live for an extended period and is quite possibly immortal, his concern turns to fear.
