Conviction

A woman's ordinary life is shattered when she realizes that a case on a true crime podcast is connected to her. The day Anna Mcdonald's quiet life explodes, she's packing up her kids for school, making breakfast, and listening to a true-crime podcast like all the other days. Her husband comes downstairs with an announcement and she is suddenly, shockingly alone. Reeling and desperate for distraction, she returns to the podcast; other people’s problems are much better than one’s own - but this case actually is Anna’s problem. She knows one of the victims from an earlier life – a life she took great pains to leave behind - and she is convinced that she knows what really happened. Then an unexpected visitor arrives on her front stoop and her quiet life is well and truly over. She has demons from the past awakening, along with angels from the present, who misunderstood how much trouble lies ahead until they realize how far Anna has gone.
