Bridge to Terabithia

Jess Aarons is the fastest runner in his grade. He's always practiced running, and now he thinks he's ready to beat everyone else in the school. But on the first day of school, a girl named Leslie Burke dashes him down as she crosses over to the boys' side. Jess and Leslie become inseparable friends and create Terabithia, a magical kingdom in the woods where only they reign as king and queen. The two young children's imaginations set no limits.
