Beautiful World, Where Are You?

Alice, who had written a novel that made her famous, and Felix, a warehouse worker, had been on vacation in Rome. They went back to Dublin and met Eileen, Alice’s best friend. Eileen was getting over a break-up with Simon, whom she’d known since childhood. Alice wanted Felix to stay in Dublin with her and to begin a relationship with Eileen, but Eileen had started seeing Simon again. Alice left Ireland without Felix and without knowing if she’d ever see him again. She didn’t want the memories of her travels to fade so quickly in her mind. What about the lighted room?
