Beautiful Animals

During a white-hot summer break on the Greek island of Hydra, Sam—an American college student with a family vacationing nearby—and Naomi—a British woman on vacation with her father, an art collector who owns a villa in the hills—make a startling discovery: A man named Faoud, sleeping heavily, exposed to the elements, but still alive. The two women learn Faoud is a Syrian migrant and a casualty of the crisis raging across the Aegean sea. As Sam, who has started bonding with Naomi over their shared passion for photography, helps Faoud hide out in the hills above the beach town while Naomi deals with what she's done and tries to put things right again, their friendship grows into romance. When a simple scheme to exact revenge goes terribly wrong, Faoud must go on the run for his life.
