A Plea for the Animals

Ricard's new book on animal rights is a compelling argument for respect and compassion for all beings, including our fellow animals. He shows that our modern lifestyle exploits animals in the same ways that it exploits people, and he documents the horrors of every day life for billions of animals. Using scientific facts and moral inquiry, he challenges every conventional rationale for their exploitation with time-tested universal values of compassion and empathy.
