The Stoic philosopher Seneca writes of the beauty of passing through life with an eager and active mind, so that one may say with him, “Life is long if you know how to live it. ” Seneca (5 BC to AD 65) was born in Cordoba, educated in Rome and later became Nero’s tutor, advisor and eventual victim. He was forced to commit suicide at the age of 65 by Nero.
