Fauna & Family

The next novel in the series of Durrells Corfu trilogy includes a number of incidents and characters that were not included in My Family and Other Animals and Birds, Beasts, and Relatives. In his foreword to Fauna and Family, Durrell confessed that he had left out a number of incidents and characters. He attempted to repair this omission by including the omitted characters and incidents in this book . . . he hoped that it might give pleasure to its readers as apparently, the first two books have done for him. For him, it portrayed a very important part of his life . . . which is a truly happy and sunlit childhood. The nonpareil book was published by David R. Godine.
