Just the Funny Parts

Author Nell Scovell wrote this memoir in a comical and entertaining way. She uses her humor to relate these experiences while telling the stories of the shows that she worked on, mainly The Simpsons and Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, which she created and executive produced. In 2009, Scovell gave up her behind-the-scenes status when the David Letterman sex scandal broke. Scovell publicly called out the lack of gender diversity in late-night TV writers’ rooms. This book reveals a lot about how women are treated in television shows and how much work goes into writing for shows.
