Description
His popular book Infinite in All Directions is a trip through the universe at its wittiest. In his view, science and religion are two lenses through which we can see the world around us. The book is a revised version of a series of the Gifford Lectures [name of the lectures] under the title In Praise of Diversity [name of the series]. It allowed Dyson to express everything in the universe, which he divided into two parts in polished prose: focusing on the diversity of natural objects as one half and on diversity reactions as another half. Chapter 1 is a brief explanation for Dyson's attitudes toward religion and science. Chapter 2 is a tour of the universe that emphasizes diverse views from which it can be encountered as well as it contains diverse objects. Chapter 3 is concerned with the history of science and describes different styles within science: one welcoming diversity, and one deploring it.
