For over 20 years the author has served in a number of roles as an officer in the Navy: as a Lieutenant Commander he commanded a platoon that executed capture-kill missions against high value targets in Iraq; as a Navy SEAL he also served in Columbia, Peru, Afghanistan, and Iraq.
