The Beekeeper of Sinjar

The Beekeeper is the true story of a man who risked his life to rescue enslaved women from ISIS. Since 2014, ISIS has been brutalizing the Yazidi people of northern Iraq: killing those who won’t convert to Islam, sowing destruction and enslaving young girls and women. The Beekeeper tells these harrowing stories of several women who manage to escape the clutches of ISIS with an unlikely hero: a beekeeper who uses his know-how to bring them back into safety.
