Spaceman

Mike Massimino was born on the day that Neil Armstrong walked on the moon, and he has spent his life dreaming of becoming an astronaut. He grew up on Long Island and attended Columbia University before being rejected twice by NASA. But he made it to the final round of astronaut selection in 1996. In this book, Massimino tells his story and explains what it is like to find yourself strapped to a giant rocket preparing to go from zero to 17,500 miles per hour and to look back at the Earth from space.
