The word luxury is often associated with our impression of opulence. But there is a deeper meaning to the word luxury as well as a deeper meaning to opulence and an even deeper meaning to luxury goods. But through all these meanings and perhaps more, it can be said that luxury goods are goods that have been chosen because of their inherent value. And because of that inherent value they become acquired assets which can be accumulated over time, sometimes faster than any other kind of assets, especially assets whose value is not entirely known. As a result, the acquisition of such assets can sometimes become considered a form of wealth itself.
