Description
Men and Marriage, when originally published in 1981, was timely. Now it is essential, given the warlike climate of male-female relationships. Unfortunately, radical feminism fosters this climate, although ironically feminists blame men for not being able to handle women's aggressive nature. Rush Limbaugh manages to be entertaining and insightful in his critique of family disintegration. He discusses how centuries-old gender roles have changed, and now impoverished single mothers face abandonment by lovers or social ostracism because they must marry younger men to continue their husband-provided lifestyle. The book was revised in 1985 and includes more information about the demise of the family unit and what Gilders suggest as solutions to the problem.
