Dirty Plotte

In the 1990s, a revolutionary new comic book series came out of Montreal called Dirty Plotte. The series' creator was a young cartoonist named Julie Doucet, and her comics were as raw, as candid, and as funny as one could imagine. They were so popular that it wasn’t long before Doucet became a household name in both Canada and the United States. In fact, her work was so impactful that it even holds up today. Unfortunately, the artist moved on to other mediums after only fifteen years in the industry. However, her series has had such an immeasurable impact on comics that its name continues to float around certain comic circles even to this day.
