While the history of grid systems predates the birth of graphic design—it has its roots in medieval manuscript making—the Swiss designers' efforts to devise a more modern system for page layout eventually became a mainstay of graphic design in its early days. Ran Segall is a full-stack designer, Webflow developer and entrepreneur based in Tel Aviv, Israel. He is the founder of Flux Academy, an online school and popular YouTube channel teaching designers all the necessary skills they need to become high-value web designers.
