Cystic fibrosis was once a mysterious disease that killed infants and children. Now the disease has become manageable for many people, thanks to new treatments and ongoing clinical trials. One such trial is running at the University of Minnesota, where Joey ODonnell was born with the disease. The symptoms of cystic fibrosis, which include an unbearable cough, caused his parents anxiety when he was an infant.
