How did Obama survive the onslaught of super PACs and defy predictions of a one-term presidency?

Whether it's in business, international politics, journalism, or academia, a lot of what we're told about the present and future is predicated on guesswork--and we've all been guilty of it. Face it: today's most widely known and respected "experts" have been wrong before. Just like monkeys tossing darts at a board, there is no real way to predict what will happen in the future. So why are we so obsessed with predictions? Why do we care? Future Babble is the first book that examines our fixation with predicting the future in-depth.
